Chennai is confronting its worst crisis after overnight rain that has left most of the city flooded and people wading in almost waist deep water. All flights have been suspended for the day and many trains have been cancelled.

Chennai is confronting its worst crisis after overnight rain that has left most of the city flooded and people wading in almost waist deep water. All flights have been suspended for the day and many trains have been cancelled.
Chennai airport flooded, army out for relief as rains pound Tamil Nadu
Many parts of Chennai and its suburbs are flooded after two days of heavy and continuous rain. Flight operations have been indefinitely suspended at the airport, trains have been cancelled and the army is helping rescue stranded people.
